In the spring of 2019 the WMU Men's Rugby took 2nd nationally at the USA Rugby 7s National Championships.

In the fall of 2019 the WMU Men's Rugby took 2nd nationally in the d1AA division narrowly loosing to ICCC in the final.

WMU Men's Rugby has a long history of excellence, consistently performing very well in the D1AA MAC conference, both in 7s and 15s. More recently the team has soared to new heights performing extremely well on the national level.
